Since my life seems to revolve around my work at the Disney Store as a designer of 3d items, I figure I would write about some of the stuff that I've worked on and post a few photos or two along the way. If it sounds like shameless self promotion - - it is! Hopefully you and others reading this blog will actually go INTO a Disney Store and buy some of this stuff. Most of which is hidden away in the back, underneath mugs or toys. At least here you will get a better view of what is in there now, what's coming and what has come and gone. I wont just be posting my work, but also the fine work of some of my co-workers. I hope that they too will chime in as well with their own comments as often as possible.
The following photos are of some lamps and snow globes that are currently available at the store. Sometime this week I'll post some of the rough drawings as well as the final 3d drawings to some of these. I wish that I could bring myself to write about these, but I don't want to relive the agony. I will however write about some stuff while they are being produced. It should prove to be interesting and insightful to many. Maybe even therapeutic. You will also be hearing the name Steve Thompson and seeing a lot of his work.
